- I think I'll try this recipe with whole wheat flour tomorrow...it worked out so well with white

Crusty White Bread

From Donna Washburn and Heather Butt's Canada's Best Bread Machine Baking Recipes

Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
3 1/3 cups bread flour
1 1/4 teaspoons bread yeast

Instructions:
1. Measure ingredients into baking pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Insert pan into oven chamber. Select Dough cycle.
2. Remove dough and shape into an oval-shaped loaf. Leave on counter covered with a dry tea-towel, to rise for about 15 minutes.

3. Butter a regular-sized bread pan and sprinkle corn meal on top of butter, knocking out any excess. Place loaf into bread pan and cover again, allowing to rise in a warm, draft-free place for at least another 15 minutes.
4. Bake at 400 F for 25 - 35 minutes or until loaf sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
